Product Description

An Fabric Expansion Joints made from textile fibres is a flexible element.

It belongs to the category of the non-metallic expansion joints.
Because of the specific composition of the individual layers, fabric expansion joints are not suitable for installation on lines that carry liquids. They are only suitable when fluids are in a gaseous state.

They can withstand extremely high temperatures, even over 1000°C. Contrary to metal and rubber expansion joints, fabric expansion joints are extremely flexible and their rigidity value is unimportant.

A fabric expansion joint is made of one or more layers of different nature, each of which performs a specific task. Some materials are designed to withstand temperature, others are designed to resist corrosion caused by the process fluid, and others retain pressure.

Overlaying and combining of different layers obtains a stratification that has properties suitable for specific project conditions. It is therefore an extremely versatile component.

When properly inserted in a pipe system, the fabric expansion joint distorts and adapts to variations in pipe dimensions caused by thermal expansion. It can also be used as a connecting element between equipment and a pipe to which it is connected, in order to avoid "rigid interfaces" that are potentially dangerous for the equipment.

Consisted by flexible fabric, flanges or weld ends together with tie rods and nuts which can providing big axial, lateral and angular deflection within limited small space. And there is no reaction thrust, at the same time, it is also high temperature resisted, corrosion resisted and good sealing property, and it is easy to repair or replace.
Mainly used for transport duct, gas, exhaust gas (smoke), oven gas and other gases ducts system to compensate the movement deflection caused by temperature variation, machinery vibration and Foundation sinking.

Compensate heat expansion: Fabric expansion joint can provide big compensation within small space.
Compensate installation errors: Fabric expansion joint can eliminate nicely installation errors which happened frequently in pipelines installation.
Sound isolation: Fiber fabric and insulating wools are all have good abilities to absorb the noise and protect vibration, they can effectively deduce the noise and vibration of boiler and fans.
No reaction thrust: There is no force delivery because of the fabric so it can simplified designing.
Good sealing property: they can provide good sealing property under any medium and easy for installation and repairment.

2)Gas turbine
The company developed heat recover steam generator(HRSG) GTX expansion joint series for gas turbine system under high temperature and high flow speed condition on gas discharge pipe and inlet of waste heat boiler: According to different heat insulating mode, each type has different structure to adopt four working conditions: cold wall to cold wall, hot wall to hat, cold wall to hot wall, and hot wall to cold wall, in order to eliminate the stress concentration and ensure the reliability of product performance.
  1. GTXA:for small pressure pulse and steady flow condition, such as downstream of gas exhaust system of gas turbine;
  2. GTXB:for normal pressure pulse and flow condition, such as exports of bypass or diffuser; this is the most widely used type;
  3. GTXC: for high pressure pulse and turbulence condition such as gas exhaust system of heavy gas turbine.

3)Wind Power
The company developed wind power specific expansion joints are equipped between flow pipe of water cooling division and cabin cover, air heat exchanger and cabin cover, and between cabin cover and plate type heat exchanger. The function is to ensure the sealing connection when vibrant displacement occurs; in addition, it will compensate certain assembly deviation.

4)Metallurgy  
Our Fabric joints for metallurgy are mainly used in positions below: general pipe and bellow branch pipe of sintering system; FGD; dry type dust remove system; inlet and outlet of fan; inlet of chimney; convey system; waste heat reuse system; pretreatment system for iron water; converter cooling flue system; stove; step heating system; general and branch flue pipe, dust remove system; heating system, hot wind pipe, flue pipe, waste gas pipe, inlet and outlet of fan for cooper, aluminum, zinc, and tin smelting.
5)Cement Our Fabric joints for cement industry are used in equipments and pipe system for rotary kiln cement production line, mainly in positions below: raw material grinding, cement milling system, cyclone preheating system, clinker burning system, cooling system, inlet and outlet of dust remover, waste gas treating system, inlet and outlet of fan, and pipes for transport air, gas and gas with powder.
 
 
6)Refinery

Installation Precautions:
  1. Check the product code and specification before install to ensure the code and specification is the same as designed;
  2. When install the non-metallic expansion joint with draft tube, please ensure the flow direction on the product should follow the medium flow direction;
  3. During storage, transport and installation, be careful the ring belt of the non-metallic expansion joint to prevent damage caused by grazing, weld splashing or arcing;
  4. No additional deviation of non-metallic expansion could be used to compensate installation deviation of equipment or pipes that did not mentioned in technical requirement;
  5. After installation, transport rod and package should be removed; ensure the ring belt would not be covered by other thermal insulating material during service.
